Cairo: Oman has confirmed 689 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking to 18,887 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported Wednesday.
The newly diagnosed cases include 334 Omanis and 355 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without giving a breakdown of foreign patients’ nationalities.
One more death from COVID-19 was announced, taking the total of such fatalities in Oman to 84.
The country's over recoveries from the disease has increased by 177 to reach 4,329,according to the ministry.
There are 85 patients receiving intensive care treatment.
Oman has conducted 2,658 coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
