Cairo: The Omani national carrier Oman Air has announced introducing a new service between Muscat and Sharjah, starting today.

The airline said it will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Wednesday and Sunday flights from Muscat will take off at 2:25pm and arrive in Sharjah at 3:40pm while flights from Sharjah will depart at 5:15pm and arrive in Muscat at 6:30pm.

The Saturday flight from Muscat will leave at 8:15pm and arrive in Sharjah at 9:30pm, while the flight from Sharjah will depart at 11pm and arrive in Muscat at 12.15am.

With the new service expected to generate a high demand, Oman Air has urged potential travellers to reserve their flights via its website or by contacting its call centre or authorised travel agents to ensure obtaining bookings according to their preferences.

The airline said it maintains applying a comprehensive safety programme prior to, during and following flights to ensure a safe and convenient travel experience for passengers.

Accordingly, passengers are required to wear face masks at Oman’s airports and aboard the aircraft. Distancing is also maintained while travellers board and exit the aircraft as part of health precautions, it added.
