Dubai: A total of 16 individuals have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in the Dhofar governorate for publishing content online that violates public morals, local media reported.
A statement issued by the ROP said: “Dhofar Governorate Police Command arrests 16 people on charges of using information technology to publish content that violates public morals”.

Legal action will be taken against the suspects, the police said.
Meanwhile, a person, who fell in a mountainous area in Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid, has been rescued by the Rescue teams at the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
A statement issued by the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) said, “Rescue teams at the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate rescued a person who fell in a mountainous area in Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid.”
