Kuwait arrests more than 100 wanted people, residency violators in security raids
Crackdown campaigns also record more than 400 traffic offences
Dubai: Kuwaiti security forces arrested 150 wanted people and residency violators during separate campaigns in Farwaniya, Khaitan and Riggae, as authorities stepped up enforcement and security patrols, the Interior Ministry said.
In Farwaniya and Khaitan, rescue police teams deployed along major roads arrested 64 people wanted in connection with criminal cases, absconding reports and arrest warrants.

Another 47 people were detained for overstaying expired residency permits, while four were arrested for failing to carry identification. Officers also recorded 407 traffic violations.
In a separate operation in Riggae involving 168 security personnel and 50 patrols, authorities arrested 36 wanted people and other violators. They included 13 people subject to arrest warrants over expired residency permits and 12 wanted in connection with absconding cases.
Four others were detained for expired residency permits, three in connection with civil cases and three over drug-related offences.
Police also arrested one person accused of possessing and selling medication without a licence and impounded a vehicle subject to a judicial seizure order.
The Interior Ministry said the campaigns were aimed at apprehending wanted people and violators while strengthening the security presence and maintaining public safety.
