Cairo: Kuwait Sunday announced one more fatality due to the COVID-19, raising to 20 the total such deaths in the country, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported. The fatality was a 57-year-old Iranian resident who was in intensive care, the Health Ministry said.

The ministry also recorded confirmed 183 new coronavirus cases, bringing to 3,075 the country’s infection tally, spokesman for the Health Ministry Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said.

The new diagnosed cases include 149 in touch with previously infected people and 20 others linked to travel abroad, the official said.

The 14 others are being investigated for the source of contagion, he added in a media update.

Kuwaiti Health Minister Sheikh Basil Al Sabah, earlier Sunday, said that 150 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total recoveries in the country to 806.
