Dubai: Kuwait has officially ended the partial curfew in the country after 66 days of being implemented in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19, local media reported.

According to the Interior Ministry, police checkpoints have been lifted. The partial curfew was imposed on March 7 after the escalation of the epidemiological indicators of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the past few months, Kuwait has been reporting an upward trend in the daily COVID-19 infections. The country has so far confirmed more than 289,243 COVID-19 infections including 1,674 deaths and 274,554 recoveries.
