Dubai: Kuwaiti citizens, first degree relatives of citizens, and their accompanying domestic workers who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 will be banned from travelling abroad as of Saturday, May 22, local media reported.

The move follows a circular issued yesterday by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to all Airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport (KIA).

Travel restrictions

The travel ban on Kuwaiti citizens does not include people in age groups ineligible to receive vaccinations. The ban on the entry of expatriates into Kuwait will continue until further notice.

However, some categories have been exempted from travel restrictions including, those who received two doses of the vaccine and two weeks have passed since the second dose, those who received one dose of the vaccine and five weeks have passed and those who recovered from infection and received one dose of the vaccine and more than two weeks have passed.
