Cairo: Kuwait confirmed today 736 new cases of the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, an increase of 83 cases compared to the tally reported the day before, taking the country’s overall infections to 94,211.

One more death from COVID-19 has been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 558, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said.

There are 94 patients receiving intensive care treatment, Dr. Al Sanad added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.

Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 673,003 after 4,998 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry also said that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have climbed to 84,404 after 744 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
