Cairo: Kuwait today confirmed 616 new cases of the virus over the past 24 hours, taking the country’s infection tally to 101,299.

Two more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 590, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.

There are 101 patients receiving intensive care treatment, he added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.

Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 720,509 after 4,622 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry said that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have risen to 92,341 after 729 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
