Cairo: Bahrain’s labour regulator has announced resuming the recruitment of domestic workers beginning next week amid strict precautions against the coronavirus.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has said that coordination is under way with authorized recruitment agencies to put in place stringent health precautions.
The recruitment of domestic workers is due to restart on September 14, Bahraini newspaper Al Watan reported.
The LMRA has warned against dealing with unauthorized recruitment agencies or hiring part-time domestic workers, citing health and security concerns.
The Authority called for checking the list of accredited recruitment agencies on its website www.lmra.bh where it is weekly updated to protect beneficiaries’ rights before approaching any hiring agency.
