Dubai: Bahrain has announced 490 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 74,422.

According to the Ministry of Health, the latest coronavirus patients were identified after conducting more than 10,525 additional COVID-19 tests among citizens and residents over the past few days.

Of the new cases, 142 were among expatriate workers, 340 were contacts of active cases, and eight were travel related.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has gone up to 69,854 after another 443 people received the all-clear.

Two more deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, pushing the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 264.

There are currently 64 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 100 cases receiving treatment. 4,240 cases are stable out of a total of 4,304 active cases.
