Dubai: Another 151 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Bahrain, taking the total number of infected persons to 4,727, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health announced on Saturday.

The ministry said that 82 expatriate workers were among the 151 new cases, with 69 of them getting the virus from direct contact with active cases.

Bahrain reported no new deaths today, keeping the country’s death toll at 8, while 21 patients have recovered, pushing the total number of patients recovered to 2,048.

Last week, Bahrain set up its second field hospital on a man-made island for coronavirus patients. It had previously turned a car park into an intensive care unit, according to Al Arabiya.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism said that nationwide closures that included, cinemas, private sports centers, private swimming pools, special gaming rooms, shisha (hookah) cafes, and salons, would continue until May 7.
