Cloudy conditions are expected to continue till Sunday with rain
Dubai: As we approach the weekend, residents across the UAE can expect warm temperatures, but with a promising twist: the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted the possibility of rainy clouds. On Saturday and Sunday, a variety of weather conditions will sweep across the region, offering a slight respite from the heat.
Today, temperatures have dipped below 40°C, with the highest recorded temperature being 39.2°C in Um Al Ghaf, Ras Al Khaimah, at 2.15 pm.
In coastal areas, high temperatures ranged from 34°C to 38°C, while internal regions saw temperatures between 39°C and 32°C. Meanwhile, the mountainous areas experienced low temperatures, reaching between 20°C and 25°C. Humidity levels are expected to lower, hitting 40% to 60% in both internal and coastal regions.
Looking ahead, Friday, May 9, the weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, particularly in the eastern parts of the country. During the night and into Saturday morning, residents may experience high humidity, potentially giving rise to fog or mist in some coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate northwesterly winds will freshen intermittently, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally hitting 35 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Saturday, May 10, will see a continuation of fair to partly cloudy conditions, with low clouds possibly forming in the east. As the afternoon approaches, there’s a chance of convective cloud formation over the mountains, which could bring rainfall. Humidity will continue to climb overnight into Sunday morning in some internal regions, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds.
This weekend promises a mix of warmth and refreshing weather changes, providing a perfect opportunity for residents to enjoy the outdoors while being prepared for the possibility of rain.
