Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a dust alert for Saturday, August 16, 2025, warning of fresh to strong southeasterly winds reaching speeds of 45 km/h. These winds will cause blowing dust and sand, reducing visibility to less than 2,000 meters over some internal and coastal areas from 8am to 6pm.

Motorists beware! If you're heading out, stay alert, reduce your speed, and keep a safe distance to ensure your safety on the roads. Dusty weather to affect visibility, drive with caution.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the NCM forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, especially in the Eastern and Southern regions, with a chance of light rain by night. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10–25 km/h, potentially increasing to 35 km/h at times. The sea will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Stay safe and plan accordingly for reduced visibility and changing weather conditions.
