Dubai: Red and yellow fog alerts were issued across parts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi this morning. Some convective clouds are also expected to appear eastward of the country by afternoon.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), fog was reported over Jabal Ali and Hassyan in Dubai, and over Al Wathba, Ghantout, Al Ajban, and over Saih Shuaib towards Saih Sudaira in Abu Dhabi.

The alert also states the fog formation may lead to a deterioration in horizontal visibility, “which may drop further at times over some coastal areas until 9am on Thursday.”

The forecast states there will be a probability of mist formation over some coastal areas on Friday morning.

Temperature highs will be between 40 and 45 degree Celsius, while temperature lows will be between 23 and 28 degree Celsius.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times can be expected today, with wind speeds reaching up to 35 km/hr.
