Dubai: Light to moderate rains continue to hit parts of the UAE today, January 3. The Met Office also issued a yellow rain alert over Abu Dhabi and parts of Fujairah.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), light to moderate rains were reported over Al Ajban, Al Rahbah, Al Raha beach, Umm Yifenah Island, and over Al Reem Island areas in Abu Dhabi. Light to moderate rains were also reported over Alkhazna area in Al Ain.

Earlier today, light to moderate rains were reported across Dubai, with frost formation reported atop Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah.

The highest temperatures recorded today over the country was 23.6 degree Celsius over Al Quaa in Al Ain and over Kalba in Sharjah.

Temperature lows today are expected to be between 11 and 16 degree Celsius, over coastal areas.

Weekend forecast

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with low clouds at times are to be expected over the weekend.

According to NCM forecasts, temperatures are said to gradually increase on Monday morning, with a chance of fog or mist formation.
