Dubai: UAE residents woke up to unexpected rainfall this morning, with moderate showers recorded in several key areas including Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Jumeirah, Al Safa, Dubai Investment Park and Al Jaddaf in Dubai.

The National Center of Meteorology confirmed moderate to heavy rain in parts of Dubai, including the Hassyan area, while heavy rain also hit Ghanadhah in Abu Dhabi. Light to moderate showers graced Ghalilah, Adhen in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Iqqah in Fujairah, Al Madam, Suhaila, Al Dhaid in Sharjah, and Al Rowdha in Umm Al Quwain.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly and carefully due to slippery roads during rainfall. Slippery surfaces, reduced visibility, and unpredictable weather conditions can make driving conditions challenging. Read our tips for driving in UAE rains.

Frost formation was even reported atop Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah early morning today. As the day progresses, the skies remain partly cloudy with dark patches over Dubai.

Looking ahead, tomorrow’s forecast calls for sunny to partly cloudy weather, with low clouds forming along coastal areas and increased humidity by night.

Expect fresh Northeasterly to Northwesterly winds reaching speeds of 35 km/h. The sea conditions are moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea. Stay tuned for more updates on the ever-changing weather!
