Dubai: Motorists across the country are advised to drive with caution as an orange dust alert was issued across several parts of the country.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), dusty skies with another decrease in temperatures can be expected today. Yellow and orange dust alerts were also issued across parts of the country which will reduce horizontal visibility. The alerts were issued over Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions of the country.

Residents were also advised to drive with caution and asked to “lock all doors and windows to prevent dust from entering the buildings,” in an alert issued by the NCM.

Temperature highs can be expected to be between 32 and 37 degree Celsius, today, while temperature lows will be between 22 and 26 degree Celsius.

Moderate to strong winds can be expected across the country today, with speeds reaching up to 50 km/hr over coastal and islands regions, and between 40 to 45 km/hr over mountains and internal regions, respectively.

Be advised, these extreme dusty weather conditions will continue tomorrow, April 17, as well according to the NCM forecast.
