Dubai: The UAE continues to face severe weather conditions as extreme heat, poor air quality, and reduced visibility grip the region. According to AccuWeather, temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to reach 40°C under sunny skies today, with tonight remaining clear and very warm at 34°C.

Air quality across much of the UAE has significantly deteriorated, prompting health warnings. Sensitive groups are likely to feel immediate effects, including breathing difficulties and throat irritation. Healthy individuals are also advised to limit prolonged outdoor exposure due to hazardous dust and air pollution.

Authorities have issued strong public advisories urging people to stay indoors, particularly on Friday, when temperatures are forecast to reach 44°C in some areas under very hot, dry conditions.

Adding to the alert, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has announced a chance of fog formation early Thursday morning. Coastal and internal areas may experience dangerously reduced visibility between 1:30am and 8:30am. Additionally, humidity will increase overnight and into Friday morning, with a chance of mist formation, further complicating early morning travel.

Notably, the NCM is also forecasting a chance of convective cloud formation over eastern regions, which may be associated with light to moderate rainfall. With dust, extreme heat, humidity, and potential rain all in the forecast, authorities stress the importance of taking precautions and monitoring official updates.
