Dubai: The UAE is experiencing a sweltering start to the week, with temperatures soaring across the country and a possibility of rainfall in the eastern regions, according to forecasts from AccuWeather and the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

In Dubai, today’s weather will be very warm and sunny, with temperatures peaking at 42°C, while tonight will remain clear and warm with lows around 35°C. Abu Dhabi faces even more intense heat, with highs hitting 45°C and warnings that most outdoor activity could be dangerous due to the extreme conditions. The capital will also cool only slightly tonight, dipping to 34°C.

The NCM forecasts generally fair to partly cloudy skies, with a chance of convective cloud formation in eastern areas and a probability of afternoon rain showers—a pattern expected to continue until Sunday.

Yesterday, the highest temperature recorded in the country was a blistering 48.4°C in Bada Dafas, Al Dhafrah region, at 4pm, highlighting the severe summer heat sweeping across the Emirates.

Across the UAE, maximum temperatures are ranging between:

  • 44°C to 49°C in internal areas,

  • 40°C to 45°C along coastal and island regions, and

  • 34°C to 39°C in the mountains.

Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally freshening during the daytime, blowing dust in exposed areas. Wind speeds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, gusting up to 40 km/h, blowing from southeast to northeast.
The sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure during peak hours, and remain updated on weather alerts.
