Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has reported today’s highest temperature at a scorching 51.6°C, recorded at Sweihan in Al Ain at 1.45pm. The weather remains fair to partly cloudy, especially in the eastern regions, with light to moderate winds across the country.

However, the NCM has issued a weather alert for Saturday evening (5 PM to 8 PM), warning of convective cloud formation over eastern areas—most likely in Al Ain—which may bring rainfall, fresh winds, and blowing dust. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously, particularly on wet or dust-covered roads.

Today’s forecast in general will be fair and partly cloudy at times (eastward). Winds will be light to moderate, 10–30 km/h, in the direction of southeasterly to northwesterly. Sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Tomorrow’s weather outlook to remain fair in general, with partly cloudy skies eastward by afternoon. Winds will be in the Southwesterly to northwesterly direction at the speed of 10–20 km/h, gusting up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions will be relatively calm in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea

Public advisory:

Stay hydrated and avoid outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours

Drive with caution in Al Ain and nearby areas due to possible rain and blowing dust Saturday evening.
