Weather alert: UAE braces for scorching heat as temperatures soar above 46°C

NCM forecasts continued high temperatures and partly cloudy skies across the country today

Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued its latest forecast, warning of extremely hot conditions across the UAE today, with maximum temperatures expected to peak between 42°C and 46°C in internal regions.

Coastal and island areas could see highs ranging from 39°C to 44°C, while mountainous areas will be slightly cooler, with temperatures ranging from 32°C to 39°C. Yesterday, the highest recorded temperature in the country was a sweltering 46.2°C in Bada Dafas, Al Dhafra region, at 2:00 pm.

Today's weather will be fair to partly cloudy, accompanied by light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to northeast at 10–20 km/h, occasionally reaching 30 km/h during the day. Conditions at sea will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

The NCM has announced the latest on temperatures and weather conditions in cities across the UAE.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against heat exposure and stay hydrated, especially during peak afternoon hours.
