Dubai: The weather across the UAE is currently hot and humid, with coastal cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi experiencing high humidity levels that make the heat feel even more intense. Inland areas are also seeing significant temperature rises.

Today, the highest temperature recorded in the country reached a scorching 46.2°C in Bada Dafas (Al Dhafrah Region) around 2 PM.

Coastal regions are feeling the heat with temperatures ranging between 40°C and 44°C, while inland areas are experiencing highs of 42°C to 45°C. Those in mountainous regions can expect slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures between 35°C and 39°C.

As we transition from April into May, the National Center of Meteorology's latest report indicates that we are in a period marked by considerable fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, which can lead to rapid changes in weather conditions. Daytime hours are gradually lengthening in the northern hemisphere, bringing a noticeable increase in air temperatures across most parts of the country. Compared to March, average air temperatures have risen by 3-5 degrees this month, signaling the approach of warmer days ahead.
