Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) says residents should expect for unsettled skies tonight, with parts of the country likely to see light rain and gustier winds.

Forecasters expect clouds to build over the eastern and southern regions by evening, a pattern that could bring scattered showers. Winds, starting southeasterly, are predicted to swing northeast at 10 to 25 km/h, with occasional bursts pushing closer to 35 km/h.

At sea, conditions remain calm. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to stay slight, despite the shifts in wind.

Temperatures, though, are offering little relief. Abu Dhabi is forecasted to climb to a high of 46°C and a low of 34°C. Dubai won't be far behind, with a predicted high of 45°C and a low of 34°C. The coolest spot in the country came early morning in Al Farfar, Fujairah, where the NCM clocked 24.8°C at 7.15am.

The agency noted that changing weather could reduce visibility in some areas and advised motorists to take precautions. By nightfall, humidity is expected to rise, adding to the sticky conditions that many in the cities have already been complaining about.
