Breakdown: Odds, strategy and how to pick your numbers
Dubai: The UAE Lottery’s ‘Lucky Day’ game has been attracting hopefuls with its life-changing Dh100 million jackpot. However, after 14 draws, the grand prize remains unclaimed.
Held every alternate Saturday, the draw guarantees total cash prizes worth Dh100,000 through ‘Lucky Chance IDs’, awarded to seven winners residing in the UAE. For every ticket purchased under a completed order, the UAE Lottery system generates a ‘Lucky Chance ID’, offering participants an additional opportunity to win. Each ID consists of two uppercase letters followed by seven digits.
Participants must select seven numbers from two separate sections: ‘Days’ and ‘Month’.
In the ‘Days’ section, an individual need to choose six numbers from 1 to 31. In the Month section, pick one number from 1 to 12. Players may also opt for the ‘Easy Pick’ feature, which uses a random number generator to select digits automatically.
To win the jackpot, you must match six ‘Days’ numbers and one ‘Month’ number – a total of seven correct numbers. According to the UAE Lottery, the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 8,835,372.
The second prize of Dh1 million is awarded to those who match all six numbers in the ‘Days’ section. Odds of winning: 1 in 803,216.
The third prize of Dh100,000 goes to players who match five ‘Days’ numbers and one ‘Month’ number. Odds of winning: 1 in 58,902
To win the fourth prize of Dh1,000, match either five ‘Days’ numbers or four ‘Days’ plus one ‘Month’ number. Odds of winning: 1 in 1,437.
The fifth prize of Dh100, with of winning are 1 in 12.1, can be won in multiple ways:
3 ‘Days’ + 1 ‘Month’, 2 ‘Days’ + 1 ‘Month’, 1 ‘Day’ + 1 ‘Month’, or only the correct ‘Month’ number. Odds of winning: 1 in 12.1.
In the last draw, a whopping 28,858 out of 29,080 winners took home Dh100.
Alongside the main draw, each ‘Lucky Day’ also includes a ‘Lucky Chance’ draw. The winning ‘Lucky Chance IDs’ are announced live.
