Dubai: A Filipino emergency medical technician (EMT) in the UAE has struck it lucky, winning Dh100,000 in The UAE Lottery’s Lucky Chance draw recently.

In a video posted on its social media channels by The UAE Lottery, Sherwin Rafael Trinidad, who has been working as an EMT in Ajman for seven years, says he took a chance after spotting the lottery that offers a jackpot of Dh100million through a Google advertisement.

What started as a moment of curiosity turned into a life-changing win. “I discovered the UAE Lottery in a Google ad. I got interested, created an account, and finally, here I am now,” he stated.

‘I’ve been there before’

In his message to fellow players trying their luck, he said: “For everybody out there: just don't lose hope. I've been there before. I thought I will never win this amount, but yeah, just don't lose hope. Just keep on playing the game.”

Trinidad plans to use his prize money to build his dream house and start a business back home in the Philippines. He also expressed his desire to give back to the community.

“Definitely, I will build my dream house and dream business in the Philippines. I also want to help other people in need, especially those with medical needs,” he said.

Trinidad’s win adds to the growing list of UAE residents finding fortune through digital lotteries in the country.
