Dubai: Dubai Civil Defence teams have quickly brought under control the fire in a warehouse in Al Qusais industrial area of Dubai on Friday morning.
The fire incident happened near a road parallel to Damascus Street in Al Qusais industrial at around 10am. Thick black smoke plumes billowing from the fire site were reported by residents.
The Dubai Civil Defence Command Room received an emergency call at 10.07am about a fire at a parking lot in Al Qusais Industrial Area 1. Firefighters from Al Qusais and Al Rashidiya fire stations reached the spot within five minutes.
“A collection of cars had caught fire, which resulted in thick smoke. The commander on the ground confirmed that the blaze was brought under control at 12.36pm without report of any injuries or deaths,” a Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson said.

The site was handed over to the authorities concerned to determine the cause of the fire.
