Motorists are advised to plan ahead and take alternative routes to avoid delays
Dubai: Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority (Sharjah RTA) has announced a partial closure and traffic diversions in Khorfakkan as part of ongoing road improvement efforts aimed at enhancing infrastructure and easing traffic flow.
In a social media post, the authority said the ring road connecting Wadi Washi Square to Khorfakkan Square in the Al Batha 3 area will undergo partial closure to facilitate construction.
The construction works are scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 24, to Friday, May 30.
Maps shared by RTA show the affected routes: lanes marked in red will be closed, while green-marked lanes will remain open to traffic.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid delays and ensure safety during the closure period.
Earlier, on April 17, the RTA also announced major closures on the Sharjah-Dhaid Road. The exit leading to Al Dhaid City (Bridge No. 4) will be shut from Friday, April 18, to Monday, April 21, 2025, to allow for construction in the area.
