Dubai: Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram will operate continuously for 43 hours and 24 hours respectively to cater to the high demand during New Year’s Eve in Dubai.

The move was announced on Tuesday during a press conference held by the Events Security Committee (ESC) in Dubai.

The Red and Green Lines of the Dubai Metro will operate from 53 stations; the Burj Khalifa Metro Station will close at 5pm.

Dubai Tram will operate through its 11 stations, said Hussein Al Bana, Executive Director of Traffic and Roads at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

1,400 buses will be available to transport visitors, and more buses will be provided if needed.
