More than 60,000 attendees are set to gather at Expo City Dubai on August 10 to commemorate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The UAE will join in the celebrations with a public event held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City.

The free event, Jashn Azaadi Pakistan, will run from 11am to 11pm across South Halls 1, 2, and 3, with last entry at 6pm. Organised by Emirates Loves Pakistan and the Pakistan Association Dubai, with support from Dubai Police, the celebration honours Pakistan’s rich heritage and the enduring ties between Pakistan and the UAE.

Getting there: Metro, parking, taxis, and shuttle buses

Extended metro service

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will extend metro operations until 2 am on Monday, August 11—an hour later than usual—to ensure smooth and safe travel for attendees after the event.

Parking options

Ample parking is available at Opportunity Parking and DEC Parking D & C. Attendees can reserve parking spots by scanning the provided QR code to avoid congestion and streamline entry.

Taxi fleet and ride discounts

A large fleet of taxis will be on standby throughout the event. Careem is offering a 15% discount on rides to and from the venue with promo code ELPAD15.

Shuttle bus service

Shuttle buses will run continuously between the parking lots and South Halls 1, 2, and 3, providing hassle-free access for all attendees, especially families and those with limited mobility.

 About the event

Jashn Azaadi Pakistan is organised by Emirates Loves Pakistan, a platform dedicated to sharing inspiring stories about the Pakistani community’s success in the UAE. The event is held in collaboration with the Pakistan Association Dubai and supported by Dubai Police.

The celebration showcases Pakistan’s cultural heritage, arts, and folklore while marking the historic diplomatic ties between Pakistan and the UAE. It also recognises the Pakistani community’s valuable contributions to the UAE’s sustainable development and achievements.
