Dubai to host Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day celebration with 60,000 attendees
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will keep the metro running until 2 am on Monday, August 11—an hour later than usual—to support smooth travel during the Emirates Loves Pakistan celebration at Expo City Dubai.
In addition to extended metro services, a large taxi fleet will be available throughout the event to ensure convenient transport for all attendees.
On August 10, Expo City Dubai will welcome over 60,000 guests for Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, organised by Emirates Loves Pakistan and the Pakistan Association in Dubai, with support from Dubai Police.
The event will showcase Pakistani culture, arts, and folklore, recognising the community’s contributions to the UAE.
Notable attendees include Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Pakistan’s UAE ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.
Highlights include cultural performances, exhibitions, and live music from stars such as Sahir Ali Bagga and Natasha Baig.
Since establishing diplomatic ties in 1971, UAE-Pakistan relations have grown, marked by strategic partnerships and more than $10 billion in UAE investments across key sectors.
