50% traffic fine discount ends Thursday
Reduction was offered in accordance with directives of Mohammad Bin Zayed
Abu Dhabi: The 50 per cent discount on traffic fines in the country ends today (Thursday, March 1, 2018), Abu Dhabi Police said on its social media account.
The reduction in traffic fines was launched in accordance with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The decision offered a 50 per cent discount on traffic fines accumulated from January 1, 2017 to December 2, 2017 to mark the Year of Zayed.
Police across the UAE have notified residents about the upcoming deadline through social networking sites and kept urging them to avail the opportunity of discounts.
The police also said that these discounts were to encourage people to drive safely and follow road traffic rules.
