Ras Al Khaimah Police have confirmed that the radar enforcement speed on the Shamal–Rams Road has been set at 80km/h, in line with the traffic signs installed along both sides of the highway.

The clarification comes as part of the force’s efforts to support the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to make roads across the UAE safer and reduce traffic incidents. Police said the designated speed limit is aimed at improving road safety, maintaining smooth traffic flow, preventing congestion, and reducing both the number and severity of accidents on the emirate’s roads.

Ras Al Khaimah Police called on motorists to adhere to the posted speed limits and traffic regulations, stressing that road discipline contributes to the safety of all road users. Drivers were also reminded that violations may lead to fines and legal penalties.

The command emphasised that compliance with speed regulations remains one of the most effective ways to prevent traffic accidents and enhance overall road safety in the emirate.
