Abu Dhabi: Mohamed Farhan Shajahan, an Indian expat who has called Kuwait home with his family for the past nine years, has won the Big Ticket weekly e-draw. Interestingly, he did it solo and bagged a Dh50,000 cash prize with a free ticket.

Shajahan, a 37-year-old superintendent from Tamil Nadu, first discovered Big Ticket through its official website and YouTube advertisements, and began purchasing tickets nearly a year ago.

Having previously tried his luck as part of a group of friends, Shajahan decided to go it alone this time. In a twist of fate, it was a free ticket – a bonus from a Big Ticket offer, that turned into a win.

“When I first got the call, I honestly thought it was a prank. But once it sank in, I was overjoyed. It was such an unbelievable moment,” said Shajahan, who is among other Indian expats, who got lucky in the weekly e-draw.

With plans to use the windfall to pay off existing loans, he isn’t planning to step away from the game just yet.

“This is only the beginning of my Big Ticket journey. I definitely plan to keep buying more tickets. My advice to others is simple: don’t give up. Keep trying – you never know when it might be your turn.”

This May, Big Ticket is offering Dh20 million in grand prize draw to be held on June 3. There are several other cash prizes to be won through the weekly drawsBig Win contestDream Car promotion, and more rewards. Tickets can be bought online through the official website, or at counters located in Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
