Abu Dhabi: For 68-year-old Sivanandan Ramabhadran, a dream nearly two decades in the making has finally come true. A resident of Abu Dhabi since 1986, the Keralite has won a Dh150,000 cash prize in Big Ticket’s draw (Series 274).
Ramabhadran first came across Big Ticket almost 20 years ago while travelling with his family through Abu Dhabi Airport. That moment marked the beginning of a long journey of hope and perseverance, which has now ended in triumph.

It’s my first time winning, and I can’t express how happy I feel. After two decades of trying, my patience has finally paid off.”
A businessman by profession, Ramabhadran struck lucky with a free ticket he received through a Big Ticket promotion.
“Usually, I don’t check the results online after buying my ticket. But this time, something compelled me to take a look – and to my surprise, I saw my name among the winners.”

The draw saw four other expats from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh bag cash prizes as bonus winners.
Ramabhadran plans to invest his winnings wisely and said he’ll continue participating in Big Ticket draws.
Never give up, no matter how long it takes – your time will come,” Ramabhadran noted.

The Big Ticket May promotion is currently underway, featuring a Dh20 million grand prize to be drawn on June 3, along with other cash rewards. Weekly draws will see 20 winners this month, in addition to the ‘Big Win’ contest and Dream Car promotion. Tickets are available via the official website or at counters in Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
