Oud Metha: Fire in Dubai residential building, residents evacuated

Dubai: A fire broke out in a residential complex in Dubai, and fire fighters and emergency vehicles reached the scene at 9.30pm. The fire is now under control. 

Residents of Metha Plaza Building were told to evacuate, with smoke visible from the mezzanine floor of block B. It is unclear how the fire started.

According to eye witness accounts, one person required medical assistance, while the road to the residential complex has been barricaded by the police.
