Abu Dhabi: Health management techniques to help combat the UAE's most serious medical condition, diabetes, did not end at last Friday's Walk UAE 2010 which aimed to encourage diabetics to lead a healthy, active lifestyle.
Starting on Sunday, the NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi is organising a free diabetes check-up to help raise awareness on the condition.
The NMC health express camp will be open to the public until Tuesday, where residents could check their BMI, blood pressure and get their sugar and lipid profile tests done instantly.
High-risk patients
Those opting for the check-up can walk in any time between 9am to 6pm. The results will be available instantly and would help identify individuals at high risk. The medical assistants will then be able to advise the patient what to do next.
This is an important health check as screening can help to indicate whether you have diabetes.
