As always you are never limited in locations to enjoy New Year's Eve fireworks in the UAE. We have fireworks happening in more than five locations other than the much anticipated one at the Burj Khalifa. Gulf News goes live from all these locations giving you updates, videos, photos and more.

Ras Al Khaimah

Al Marjan Island in RAK broke the world record with their pyrotechnics display. The island hosted a 12-minute fireworks, making it the world's longest straight-line firewoks display. The emirate also saw family-oriented activities on Al Marjan Island.

Burj Al Arab

The Burj Al Arab fireworks did not disappoint. Fireworks mounted on floating pontoons lit up Dubai's shores next to the iconic sail-shaped hotel at the stroke of midnight.

Global Village

With seven fireworks going off in Global Village, there's a lot to be enjoyed there until midnight. With the biggest ever fireworks display planned during the course of the night, this is one for the books.

Dubai Festival City

People started to arrive at the Dubai Festival City as early as 5pm for the New Year Fireworks show scheduled to take place at midnight. Another highlight here is their award-winning IMAGINE show.

Abu Dhabi

An attempt will be made to break a world record in the capital as the clocks strike midnight. They will attempt to make the largest sentence ever created with fireworks.

Sharjah
