Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport has confirmed that individuals may now object municipal violations through ‘Tamm’ platform within one week of receiving the citation.

The move aims to promote transparency and build public trust by requiring supporting documentation for all submitted appeals.

The ‘Tamm’ platform offers residents a simplified process for either paying fines or contesting them online, eliminating the need for paper-based procedures. All appeals are reviewed by the relevant authorities in accordance with the timeline specified by each applicable law.

Applicants must provide evidence supporting their objection and proof that the violation has been rectified. Importantly, the appeal process carries no additional fees.

According to the platform, users can submit requests by logging in with their UAE Pass, uploading the required documents, and receiving either a payment receipt or an official decision on the appeal.

The service is limited to one appeal per unpaid violation and must be submitted by the individual concerned. Applicants must pledge to resolve the cause of the violation, and authorities reserve the right to inspect the site. If the violation persists, penalties may be reinstated or doubled in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
