Public urged to avoid Halila area and follow official updates
Ras Al Khaimah: In swift action, emergency crews in Ras Al Khaimah brought a large fire under control at a factory in the Al Halila industrial area through coordinated teamwork. The blaze, which lasted nearly five hours, was extinguished without any reported injuries and prevented from spreading to nearby facilities.
Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and Head of the Local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Team, confirmed that efficient coordination and prompt response by all teams were crucial in containing the fire and protecting surrounding factories and warehouses.
Following the fire report, a comprehensive emergency plan was put into action. Civil defence units from across the UAE arrived promptly, supported by technical experts and over 16 local and federal agencies. These included the Ministry of Defense, National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, police and civil defence teams from six emirates, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Etihad Water and Electricity, National Guard, Red Crescent, and others.
Thanks to continuous communication and teamwork, the situation was contained, preventing the fire from spreading to other buildings in the area.
After extinguishing the flames, forensic and technical teams began investigating the site to find the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
Major General bin Alwan expressed gratitude to all involved, stating the operation’s success reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s preparedness for emergencies. He highlighted the spirit of unity and teamwork, emphasising that safeguarding lives, property, and infrastructure remains the highest priority.
