Dubai firefighters tackle yacht blaze

Dubai: Dubai firefighters tackled a blaze on a luxury yacht in Dubai Marina on Tuesday that sent thick smoke billowing over the area.

The Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room received a report at 11:12am about a fire on a boat in the Marina area. Immediately, Dubai Harbour Station was notified as the first responder. Upon arrival of the team at 11:18am, achieving a response time of 6 minutes, it was found that the fire was on a yacht and the incident was moderate, and necessary actions are being taken.

At 12:28pm, a signal was received from the field Commander indicating that the incident was under control, and the site will be handed over to the relevant authorities after the completion of cooling operations according to the established procedures.
