Dubai: The UAE is set to welcome more than one million students back to schools nationwide on Monday as the 2025–2026 academic year begins, marking a fresh start filled with optimism and energy.

In a message on his official X account, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, highlighted the promise of new beginnings.

“Tomorrow a new school year begins, with over one million students resuming classes across the country. New beginnings carry optimism, goodness, and hope. The start of the school year brings energy and momentum, dynamism and activity across all parts of our country,” he wrote.

Addressing students, Sheikh Mohammed said: “Every school day is an opportunity to learn something new, achieve a different milestone, expand your minds and ambitions, and move closer to your goals.”

To teachers, he added: “You are the key pillar in shaping the nation’s future. You are the backbone of our progress and the agents of change in our schools. Education should not only fill students with knowledge but ignite curiosity, fuel ambition, and kindle a passion for learning.”

The Vice President concluded by wishing students, teachers, and the wider education community a successful academic year, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to excellence in education.
