Dubai: Persistence finally paid off for UAE resident Landing Jammeh, who pocketed Dh100,000 win in the UAE Lottery’s Lucky Chance.
The Gambian national, who has called the UAE home since 2016, was taken by surprise when he received the life-changing call.
Persistence pays off
“I just answered the call and was told that this has happened,” said Jammeh, who works in Abu Dhabi.
A resident for nine years, Jammeh had tried his luck several times in the past without success. “I've played a couple of times. But I didn't win.”
However, this time, fortune smiled on him.

“You have to keep playing. So, you might be lucky. Don’t give up. Keep believing and your luck is going to come your way. It’s going to happen. I won Dh100,000,” he said with a smile.
