Sharjah: Sharjah Police have inaugurated a state-of-the-art Fingerprint Detection Laboratory, employing modern chemical treatments to enhance forensic capabilities.
Brigadier Expert Naji Mohammed Hassan Al Hamadi, Director of the Forensic Evidence and Laboratory Department, highlighted the laboratory’s pivotal role in strengthening crime detection and security efforts by providing precise forensic evidence to identify perpetrators.
Brig Al Hamadi said the lab employs cutting-edge chemical treatments, innovative scientific techniques, and advanced processing methodologies, all integrated with a comprehensive fingerprint database. This system accelerates analysis, facilitates the issuance of technical reports in record time, and ensures the quality and efficiency of criminal investigations.
The laboratory also features dedicated training and research units designed to develop new processing methods and enhance the skills of technical police personnel. These units aim to cultivate a new generation of fingerprint experts equipped to handle complex forensic challenges with proficiency.
Brig Al Hamadi expressed confidence that the laboratory will deliver tangible, positive results, contributing to enhanced community safety and security.
