Abu Dhabi is preparing to celebrate Eid Al Adha with an exciting programme of vibrant festivities, musical events, and family-friendly experiences. Tourism and entertainment authorities have announced a series of events taking place throughout the holiday, including spectacular fireworks displays, live concerts, and unique cultural activities.

Fireworks across the Emirates

Dazzling fireworks will light up the skies of Abu Dhabi throughout the Eid holiday. Starting at 9 pm on the first day of Eid and continuing through the third day, nightly fireworks will be held at Yas Bay Waterfront.

Additional celebratory displays are scheduled on:

  • Abu Dhabi Corniche: 9 PM on the first day of Eid

  • Yas Island (Yas Bay Waterfront): 9 PM on all three days of Eid

Al Ain:

Fireworks will be held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium and outside the Al Ain Municipality building at 9 PM on the first, second, and third days of Eid.

Al Dhafra:

In the Al Dhafra region, displays will take place at 9 PM on the first day of Eid at:

  • Zayed City Public Park

  • Behind the TAM Centre in Ghayathi

  • Al Mugheirah–Al Mirfa Corniche and promenade

Cultural experiences and entertainment

At Qasr Al Hosn, visitors can immerse themselves in Emirati heritage through:

  • Traditional Ayala dance performances

  • Handicraft workshops

  • Storytelling sessions from the UAE’s oral traditions

At Yas Mall, guests can enjoy:

  • Live entertainment shows

  • Children’s competitions

  • Shopping promotions with discounts of up to 75%

Free concerts during Eid

Bawabat Al Sharq Mall in Abu Dhabi will host a series of free live concerts, showcasing local artists across various musical genres throughout the Eid holiday.

Family activities in public parks

The Abu Dhabi Municipality is organising workshops and family activities at:

  • Umm Al Emarat Park

  • The Formal Park

Additional beach and sports activities will be held on Hudayriyat Island.

Yas Mall will also continue offering its extensive Eid shopping discounts alongside family-friendly entertainment.

Beaches fully prepared for Eid crowds

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has confirmed that all beaches are ready to welcome a large number of visitors. Measures have been put in place to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for both residents and tourists.

The public is encouraged to enjoy the festivities responsibly and help preserve beach facilities and public property.

Safety, accessibility, and sustainability

Ahead of the Eid weekend, the municipality has:

  • Completed all routine maintenance

  • Ensured cleanliness of facilities

  • Verified the readiness of safety and emergency teams

Beaches offer services such as:

  • Water sports

  • A central announcement system for event updates and swimming hours

  • Sunbed and umbrella rentals

  • Children’s play areas and a beach library

Special attention has been given to people of determination, with:

  • Floating wheelchairs available at Corniche and Al Bateen beaches

  • Dedicated restrooms and free beach access

  • Mobility-friendly infrastructure

To enhance comfort, a mist-cooling system has been installed along the Corniche Beach promenade, using materials that meet top international standards.

Global-standard beaches

Abu Dhabi’s beaches are part of the city’s broader strategy to elevate public and tourism infrastructure. They meet stringent global criteria for:

  • Environmental awareness

  • Water quality

  • Safety standards

  • Visitor amenities

Seven beaches have received the prestigious Blue Flag certification, underscoring their world-class status.
