Dubai: As the UAE welcomed Eid Al Adha 2025, the joyous occasion became even more special for families who celebrated the arrival of their newborns in the early hours of the festive day. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, proud parents embraced their little bundles of joy – an Eid gift they say they will cherish forever.

Our angel has arrived, says happy Jordanian parents

Baby girl Sila arrived at 1:39 am at NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi, and the happiness of her Jordanian parents knows no bounds. It’s a double delight for the family, as Sila is their first child.

“We are very happy and feel grateful to receive our Eid gift, our angel,” said the proud parents, Rehaf Mohamed Mansour, a homemaker, and Ibrahim Abdel, a computer engineer based in Abu Dhabi.

Dr Eman Sadek, Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, noted that it was a normal delivery at 39 weeks, and Sila weighed a healthy 3.56kg.

“The mother and baby are doing fine,” the doctor confirmed.

‘We are delighted,’ says excited Indian parents

Meanwhile, Dubai-based Indian expat parents Nikita Paresh Wadka and Yogesh welcomed a baby boy born at 1:54 am at Prime Hospital, Dubai. He weighed 2.9 kg at birth.
“We are delighted to have our son born on such a special day,” said the proud parents. “This is our first child.”

Dr Varsha Singhal, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, noted that delivering the baby on Eid was not only a moment of joy for the parents but also a 'deeply fulfilling experience' for her.

‘Blessed, memorable start to our journey as parents’

At Aster Hospital, Qusais, Indian parents Haneena Saithammarakathu Lanchira Purayil and Mansoor Ali celebrated the arrival of their baby boy at 4:39 am, weighing 3.320 kg.

“We are overwhelmed with joy to welcome our baby on this special occasion. It’s a moment that makes this day even more unforgettable for our family. We thank the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” said the Indian couple, embracing parenthood for the first time.

Dr Chitra Gopalakrishnan, Specialist in Obstetrics and Laparoscopic Gynaecology, noted that both the baby and mother are doing well.

Baby boy Zayed born in Ras Al Khaimah

At RAK Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, a baby boy named Zayed was born at 5:45 am. Weighing 2.180 kg, baby Zayed is the third child of Egyptian parents Hamed Sayed Hamed and Eman Mohamed.
“We feel happy and blessed to have the baby this Eid,” they said, thanking Dr Aliya Khurram, Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and the medical team.
