Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways has announced a significant increase in its flight frequencies to Karachi, Pakistan, driven by growing demand.

Starting October 1, the airline will operate four daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Karachi, bringing the total to 28 non-stop weekly services to Pakistan's vital economic hub, the airline said in a statement.

This expansion aims to offer passengers greater flexibility and improved connections across Etihad's extensive global network, including destinations in the UAE, the Middle East and Africa, Europe, and North America.

The increase in Karachi flights will boost Etihad's total weekly services to Pakistan to 60, it said. This move follows closely on the heels of Etihad's recent announcement of new flights to Peshawar, set to begin on September 29, 2025, further strengthening air links between Abu Dhabi and various cities in Pakistan.

Tickets for the new frequencies are already available for booking. Summertime airfares to Pakistan are averaging between Dh975 to Dh1,015 (for travel between July 9 to 27).

Etihad Airways maintains a significant and expanding presence in Pakistan, a key market for the Abu Dhabi-based airline. The carrier currently operates flights to several major Pakistani cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Etihad is also launching a new route to Peshawar, with five weekly flights commencing on September 29, increasing to daily services from November 22. This addition will make Peshawar Etihad's fourth direct gateway into Pakistan.

These expansions are part of Etihad's broader strategy to enhance its global network and strengthen air links, allowing passengers from Pakistan easier access to destinations across the UAE, the Middle East and Africa, Europe, and North America.
