DUBAI: Right Health, a UAE-based healthcare service provider, which has recently acquired a number of facilities, offers medical services that are 75 per cent cheaper than market rates. The service is available in 15 clinics across several emirates.

A general consultation fee at these clinics ranges from Dh35 to Dh50 against Dh150-Dh300 charged by other clinics.

Shainoor Khoja, chief impact officer at Right Health, says their fees, lab charges as well as medicine prices are the lowest in the country.

“We’ve come up a model that will benefit the expat community, especially blue collar workers. As the consultation fee at our clinics ranges from just Dh35 to Dh50, they end up paying only Dh10 or even less depending on their insurance cover.

“The concept is the brainchild of my colleague Dr Sanjay Paithankar who has been in the region for over 25 years,” she added.

Nine clinics

Right Health’s services can be availed at nine clinics in Dubai, four in Ajman, one each in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. They are located close to labour camps, construction sites or suburbs.

Right Health has been established through the acquisition and integration of 31 existing medical and health service providers, including facilities under Ruby Clinic and Group Companies (RCGC), Class Medical Centre (CMC) as well as BioHealth Diagnostic Center (BH). Right Health includes a range of clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centers and a drug store, that are already operational and serve a combined total of approximately 450,000 patients.

“The prices in our pharmacies are decided by the Ministry of Health. Our laboratory fees are also afforbable,” said Khoja.

The group also hosts regular discussions on nutrition and healthy eating habits besides conducting free diabetes tests at labour camps.

Pakistani expat Akbar Qamil, who has been in the UAE for over 17 years, said he is grateful for the services provided by the Right Health group.

“The clinic, which is close to my accommodation in Jebel Ali, has come as a blessing. For me, every extra dirham I can save goes a long way as I am always struggling when it comes to financing my daughter’s education. I also have to save for her marriage,” said the 48-year-old.
