“We were looking for someone who could build a miniature of our Jebel Ali warehouse and Samira seemed the perfect candidate for the task,” she said. “We signed the contract about two weeks ago and Samira has been working hard on the assignment,” said Dean, hinting that they might have a permanent collaboration with Amin.

Amin, 31, who was looking for an opportunity to introduce miniature art to this part of the world said the project is a ‘dream come true’. “I am so glad UAE’s homegrown retailer has shown interest in my work. I am very thankful to XPRESS,” said the Sharjah resident.

Amin started doing miniatures as a hobby but has now come a long way since then. “I’ve created over 200 miniatures of everyday objects ranging from food and perfumes to newspapers, using household items in the last two years. While food-related items comprise a large part of my creations, I’ve also made replicas of Bath and Body shower gels, Victoria’s Secret perfumes and designer bags,” she said.
