DUBAI: A creative agency in Dubai has come up with a refreshing gesture to help delivery boys beat the heat. It offers them Laban packets, water bottles and fruit juices every time they drop by to deliver lunch to its staff.

White Label Media’s founder and CEO Shraddha Barot Ameriei, who is the behind the initiative, said, “I walked into a grocery store one afternoon and saw a construction worker picking up soda bottles for his colleagues. I offered to pay for them and he agreed. This set me thinking and I decided to reach out to the scores of delivery boys who brave the stifling UAE heat and visit our office when we order something from restaurants and groceries.”
Rashmi Deepak, operations manager at White Label Media, said they stock up Laban, water and juice bottles in their office refrigerator and hand them to the boys when they come to deliver their orders. “We are totally dependent on delivery boys but rarely give a thought to the kind of effort they put in their job. Offering them a bottle of cold water or Laban is the least that we can do for them. I hope other offices in Dubai start doing something similar,” she said.
